I have had a really unfortunate experience with this funeral home. It was recommended from one of the hospice workers, so we decided to use their services for the cremation of my mother in law in October 2025. The individuals who came to retrieve my MIL after she passed were very nice and respectful. However; that is the last good interaction I have had with anyone at this place. Even after sending me a link through email to fill out a form that included details needed for the death certificate, they made multiple errors. Due to this, the death certificate required an amendment. To this day (5 months later) we still have not received it. Because of this, we are unable to proceed with legal things related to her property, and stuck with over $500/month in expenses, which seems to be something we will be dealing with for many more months to come. I have sent multiple emails since January with no response. I have called, and apparently their phone line is out of service. Overall, this was a really horrible experience and I would never recommend this business to anyone having to go through this process with their loved one.

Staff was extremely nice. Director explained the process and services very well. Did not try to push or add “extra” services etc on the bill that we wouldn’t need. Our family felt very comfortable with the staff during this hard time burying my brother n law.

I wouldn’t wish what my family went through with House of Paradise Funeral Home on anyone. We brought my mother there on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, and from the very beginning, we were misled and lied to. We were told that if we paid the balance by that Thursday, my mother would be cremated the following week and we’d receive her ashes shortly after. They also promised to remove a ring from her finger and clip locks of her hair as keepsakes — simple, sentimental requests that they agreed to fulfill. Not only did they fail to do either of those things, but they also held my mother’s body for over a month. Despite repeatedly assuring us that she had already been sent to the crematorium, we later found out she wasn’t sent until September 26th — nearly a month later. We didn’t receive her ashes until September 29th, after weeks of being lied to and strung along. To make matters worse, they published her date of death incorrectly in her obituary and then tried to shift blame onto the coroner, claiming he had written it wrong.
